The PDC World Darts Championship Quarter-finals have been decided following tonight’s Ally Pally action.

Gian van Veen beats Charlie Manby 4-1 to advance to the quarter-finals.

Gary Anderson sees off Michael van Gerwen 4-1 to book his spot in the last eight.

Luke Humphries makes it a 4-1 treble on the night, against Kevin Doets.

DAY 17 EVENING SESSION RESULTS

Charlie Manby had a great tournament but was outclassed by Gian van Veen in the round of 16.

The Yorkshireman beat Cameron Menzies, Adam Sevada and Ricky Evans on route to the last 16.

Van Veen’s match average of 98.48 and nine 180s proved too hot to handle for Manby.

The Dutchman – World Youth Champion – marches onto a mouth-watering tie with Luke Humphries.

Gary Anderson v Michael van Gerwen lived up to its hype, with both players playing vintage darts.

Rolling back the years, 2015 & 2016 champion Anderson flew into a 2-0 lead.

MvG fought back bravely with a set of his own, but the Scotsman’s scoring was too strong.

Next up for Gary Anderson is Justin Hood.

humphries 4-1 doets

Kevin Doets scored plenty of 180s but was outclassed on the finishes by Humphries.

Doets’ first set average of 111 was immense but he couldn’t maintain the pace.

Humphries won 12 of the 14 remaining legs winning comfortably in the end.

Cool Hand Luke will play Gian van Veen on New Year’s Day.
